The compressed files are normally called ZIP files and Windows has this built-in option for creating and managing such files. In Windows XP, there was also an option of password protecting your ZIP file which is handy if the data is sensitive. As of recently, Microsoft has omitted this option in newer versions like Windows 7. In this article, I will show you how to password protect your ZIP files in Windows 7.
